Cajun Music Festival
The Cajun Music Festival in Lake Charles, an annual gathering held every July, celebrates Southwest Louisiana’s unique Cajun music heritage. Regional bands play authentic roots music over the two-day event, which is organized each year by the Cajun French Music Association.
Patrons dance the Cajun two-step on the floor of the coliseum before a large stage, while musicians play traditional accordions, fiddles and triangles. The Cajun Music Festival is family-friendly and held at the Burton Complex, an entertainment venue near the Lake Charles airport.
