Lake Charles Ballet Charms with Classical Dance

View All Arts & Music

A performing arts organization bringing live, classical dance to Southwest Louisiana, the Lake Charles Civic Ballet (LCCB) was established in 1968 and delivers performances throughout the year at the Rosa Hart Theatre.

Timeless and entertaining performances featuring nationally acclaimed guest dancers and choreographers are a hallmark of the LCCB. Often accompanied by the Lake Charles Symphony, LCCB holds both a spring performance, as well as a holiday performance, attended by thousands of regional school children. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, performed every few years since the late 1960s, is among the favorite holiday selections.

In addition to being a quality dance company for Southwest Louisiana, the LCCB is also a professional training resource for aspiring young ballerinas. Promising and exceptional local dancers are accepted into the company, where they continue to perfect their craft through the affiliate classical dance academy.
