Home to the Brimstone Museum and Henning Cultural Center, Heritage Square boasts a tranquil setting for relaxation within the city of Sulphur.

A pedestrian park set amidst a cluster of historic pecan trees, The Grove at Heritage Square features fountains, walking paths, sitting and picnic areas, a stage, restrooms and Wi-Fi. The park acts as a cornerstone for the Heritage Square area, which includes the Brimstone Museum and Henning Cultural Center, and the City Pavilion.

The Henning Cultural Center hosts traveling exhibits and local artist shows throughout the year in addition to arts programs for all ages. Formerly the home of the Southern Pacific Railway Depot, the Brimstone Museum contains permanent exhibits of the town’s history. It is also the only museum in the U.S. to spotlight the Frasch mining process, which was developed in 1894 to extract sulfur from mines. Additional exhibits and art shows rotate throughout the year.

Heritage Square also serves as a beautiful venue for a variety of festivals and community events including Christmas Under the Oaks, which features food, music, bands, shopping and children’s activities.
