Alligator Park
Alligator Park in the town of Starks, about 30 miles northwest of Lake Charles, is a serene natural area for fishing, camping and enjoying nature. The park is known for its large numbers of Bald Cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, as well a picturesque fishing bridge that spans Old River Slough, a tributary of the Sabine River. Whether anglers choose to fish off the bridge or explore the area by boat, Alligator Park is a popular destination for catching numerous species of fish, especially freshwater bass.
